Authentic 19th-Century Salvaged Lighting, Hand-Restored & Ready to Install
An authentic vintage marine cage pendant light, dating from the mid-20th century (circa 1950s–1970s). Originally used aboard ships and in industrial dockyards, this heavy-duty fitting features a cast metal body, thick hammered glass dome and protective cage. This is supplied with a marine-grade hanging chain and handmade polished steel ceiling rose. A rugged yet stylish statement piece, perfect for kitchens, lofts, or nautical-inspired interiors either as a single unit or grouped.
Construction & Features
Cast aluminium/brass alloy body with polished finish. The fitting has a glass dimpled dome for light diffusion. Heavy protective cage around the glass to prevent breakage in tough environments.
Mounting:
Four mounting points within the ceiling rose housing.
Cable entry:
The twin gland housings for through-wiring while retained are plugged. Product is rewired through the top of the unit.
Restoration & Conversion
Cleaned, and polished. Rewired and electrically tested prior to shipping to BS 60598 standards. Testing reports are provided.

Fore Point Design will purchase your lights from you, or provide offset against any new purchase at an agreed price.
